Video is the New Black

Posts that contain video see 10x more engagement than those without and boosted posts with videos save more than 50% on cost-per-engagement. For this reason, video has been one of the most produced types of content by organisations in the past year. In a time where most people have a very low attention span, watching something is much more engaging than reading about it. As humans, we’re visual creatures, so this trend should come as no surprise.
Short Videos Are On The Rise
As we mentioned in the previous part, video content is king. But, it’s a specific sort of video that’s been on the rise. Ever since the introduction of Snapchat (and subsequently Instagram Stories), almost every social platform has started to incorporate some sort of short video content. This is a very powerful tool because everyone has the time (and attention span) to look at a short video and take in a bite-sized piece of information. And it’s also a great way to advertise your products on social media!
Last but not least, speaking about video, we cannot not mention live streaming. It’s a great way to boost your audience engagement and interaction rates. This is because people can see what’s happening behind the scenes, they can more easily interact with you via Q&A's, thus giving them a more personal, human approach.
